History

JW’s Beekeeping Honey & Equipment  was the original beekeeping operation, which started as a hobby, with only 12 bee hives, during Mr Jaco Wolfaardt’s, student years in 1992. It grew over the years as a small scale, part time beekeeping operation until 2009.

A decision was made to change it into a full scale commercial beekeeping operation.  Today JW’s Beekeeping Honey & Equipment, is the beekeeping equipment brand name of Ubusi Beekeeping and is one of the best known equipment suppliers in the country.

JW’s Beekeeping Honey and Equipment is the sole supplier of beekeeping equipment for the Kaap Agri Group, to all their Agri Mark Branches in the Western and Southern Cape. Along with this the Agri Land and Humansdorp Co-Operation Group have also joined as part of JW’s Beekeeping Honey & Equipment’s distribution network. Apart from this we have agents in Swellendam, Mosselbay, George, Barrydale (4 Bee Things retail shop), Hopefield and recently opened in Natal.

JW’s Beekeeping Honey & Equipment is dedicated to manufacturing and importing the highest quality beekeeping equipment. All beekeepers, commercial and hobbyist, are able to benefit from this and this in turn will promote the beekeeping industry in South Africa.

As we grow our Company, we will continue to come up with new ideas on how to improve basic beekeeping to promote productivity.
